Charcoal on Grey Paper

The medium I might be the most comfortable with. This portrait here is done by me, of myself on a A4 grey pastel sheet. 

With the help of pre determined grey tone of the paper it becomes easier to bring out the contrast and volume of someone's appearance. This medium is also capapble of giving a 3D shape for the portraits while the grey background gives a sense of 2D space, creating a relief-like drawing.
